Hello! I am Professor of Economics at Montana State University, a research fellow at the Institute for Labor Studies (IZA), an academic fellow at the TIAA Institute, and a member of the G53 Financial Literacy Network. My research focuses broadly on how public policies influence individual behavior. In addition to conducting research, I love talking to policymakers and practitioners about research findings. I am particularly interested in 3 larger umbrellas of questions:
What types of financial education improve financial behaviors and for whom?
How do government policies affect household behaviors, and how do policies interact?
How do political landscapes affect policy and economic outcomes?
